Martini

I had a martini for the first time last night,
I can see why they got so popular,
and I see why James Bond asked for them shaken, not stirred.

Comments:
Classic (gin) martini or vodka?

gin.

Good for you. By the way, if you are keeping your liquor in the freezer, take it out. The act of "shaking" melts just enough water out of the cubes to make the perfect martini. If your liquor is chilled, then you don't get such a ratio.

the vermouth is in the refrigarator because I saw that it can go bad if it is not titghtly capped and chilled, but everything else is on a bookshelf in the living room.
does vermouth, go bad at room temp ?

Hm... dunno. Vermouth is more like wine than hard liquor, so maybe it can go bad. That said, my vermouth has been in my cupboard for months and seems fine.

thanks, I will stop worring.
