RNAi

have you seen the idea of RNAi ?
aparently the cells have the ability to destroy the RNA that looks virus like
I found a news story about it
http://www.medicalnewstoday.com/newssearch.php?newsid=6831

I just thought it was a very cool discovery, and found that some people did not know about it.

read more about the exiting RNAi at PBS

Absinthe

is absinthe really bad for you in small quantities ?

I found how to make it, but others claim that you cant get it to work this way due to 80 proof not being able to leach the active chemicals out of the wormwood.

Absinthe
Ingredients:

* 1 pint Vodka
* 2 tsp Wormwood, crumbled
* 2 tsp crumbled Anise seeds
* 1/2 tsp Fennel seeds
* 4 Cardamom pods
* 1/2 tsp Coriander, ground

fall out

I was reading about how to survive a nuclear war.
not that hard when compared to some other things
to learn more, go to

China doing economic things

I was thinking about what china is doing
I have herd lots of implications of what they are doing, but I have not run acrost anything like china planning on the usa economy failing soon and they want it to affect them less, there must be a reason,
anyone know what that reason is?

how do I get the neighbor arrested ?

an old lady that lives next to my apartment was telling me that my blackberry vine was going to get out of control, I carefully told her my plan, and that it was in a pot, and if it got to big I would simply put it in the back yard.
the next day it was trimmed.
I want to prove what happened and get that bitch arrested, I am going to set up a camera that records movement, and next time she does it, I will call the police and show them the act of vandalism on tape.
the reason I want to do this is that she lied to me about doing this before, and has on many occasions hurt or killed my plants, and she promised me that she would never do that sort of thing.
lets see what a day in jail will do to her attitude.

electrostatic thoughts

a capacitor stores electricity staticly
there is an experiment that shows that it is the dielectric (insulating material) that holds the charge
so I was thinking that if you take a capacitor that has nothing for a dielectric the dielectric is space, if you move a capacitor, it will not loose the charge, does the space move with the capacitor?
I am going to test the idea that this electrostatic charge might have inertia.
I am going to make 2 tests.
the first will use a disk capacitor, that is spinning, I will try and detect a charge on a motionless capacitor that is lined up with the spinning one.
the next test is to have a segmented disk capacitor that has each plate spinning in the opposite direction, and test for a spinning charge being sent out. I think the speed of the spinning will make a difference if they are spinning at exact opposite speed or if the speeds do not match.
this idea is from previous experiments.
any ideas? anyone want to try it?

saving others

I had some jahova whitness people stop by to save me, so I decided to try and save them.
they are very nice people, and deserve to be saved.
it has been dificult to do, they are not in the right mindset to change.
I think they do not like someone pointing out logical problems with what they are trying to prove to others.
I have not seen them in a few days, but thinking about the end of the world was not so good anyway.
I want a fun thing to do with my time.

electrostatic - inertia

I wanted to find out if high voltage charged items would show a change in inertial mass.
so I set up an experiment to test it, I forgot to bring the pictures, but I remember that the result is no, it makes no or a very small difference. assuming my friend visiting from Alaska leaves my laptop in my apartment, then I will have pictures on my web site tomorrow.

click on experiment, then click on cart, then you can look at the pictires.

book

book

I want to wright a book that describes the technology that got people where they are now, in enough
detail as to be able to reproduce it.
The problem with doing this is that there is lots of information that I would need to look through.
I started, but lots of it needs testing, like how to smelt iron, it is very hard, and people that have tried
to smelt iron like ancient people did, mostly failed.
It takes to much work to wright an accurate technical book.
anyone want to go in on it with me?

global warming / the next ice age /old blogs

global warming / the next ice age

people keep asking me why the weather is so strange
it is that the earth is going into the next ice age.
we have had all the weather that shows us that it is coming
global warming will cause an ice age.
here is how
the earth has a few temperature regulating mechanisms
first the currents in the oceans, it takes about 100 years for the water on the top to change with the water on the bottom, and algae now grows near the edge of the ocean due to the warmer temperature.
second, ocean currents like the gulf stream taking water from the amazon rain forest and delivering it north to places like England to keep it warm. this can only happen if the ocean is salty enough to act as a stream bed for this river to flow on. lots of melting ice makes the ocean less salty.
third is the methyl bromide, forests create it, it goes up into the atmosphere and destroys some ozone, this keeps the plant life on the planet to approximately the same value. I do not know the length of time this cycle takes.
all of these cycles are usually out of phase, this means that one is causing the planet to heat, while another is causing the planet to cool.
now, with all the heat, co2, CFCs, ect... every one of those cycles are aligned to cool the planet. the gulf stream has slowed to less that one fourth of its normal value sometime in the last 2 years.
the ozone is week in the upper atmosphere.
and algae is starting to grow in the middle of the ocean, and the algae in the ocean makes more oxygen than anything else in the planet.
so it looks like we have some cold weather in store for us.
the weather in an ice age will be very chaotic, especially far inland.
I am looking forward to it, change can be fun.

microscope day - blood donating

I have fixed my microscope and brought it to work.
we looked at flower petals and the spiny seeds of the weeds outside and a thin slice of cheese.
it was fun.
I got a blood donor card in the mail today, I think it is nice to help others
I was wondering if blood type is something that you should tell others.
I found out years ago that you are not suppose to tell others how much you make at work
and I was wondering if blood type is the same way?
tomorrow I will look at my blood with my microscope again.

this is what happens when I write when I am unhappy.

I keep planing to do things that I know I should do to be in good health.
I changed the brakes in my friend Tashi's car, he needed his car to get to work and had run out of money, he also showed up very late, 7:20 in stead of 5:30 and I did not notice the time go by because I was unpacking my new knives, an ax, and a night vision monocular. we went to the auto parts store when he got here because it was closing soon, and I was shaking from lack of food by the time we got back. the sun was getting low and the only foods I had at hand that did not need cooking were cheese and ice cream, not a good dinner, but I planed on having something else after fixing the car, now it is 11pm and I really don't feel like cooking anything, I am not hungry, and feel horrible. No good deed goes unpunished, but I am happy I could help him. I can do so much up till a limit, then I start to fail, and I never can tell exactly what the limit is when I am there, but after it is very clear. the ice cream was not the big problem, it was sunday and having one of my friends tell me that we would get something to eat when I got there, well, that did not happen, hours later and at least a few miles of walking I started to fail, we got food then, and it was good food, but the damage had been done, it was to late, it takes me a little over a week to get over something like that. To make things worse, something like that had happened every day for the previous week, and I wonder why I get depressed?
by the way, the same people that tell me not to ever skip having a good meal, are also the ones that try to convince me to skip them altogether when it is convenient for them. I am not upset at them (much), but I just want them to quit telling me the solution is easy.
the night vision monocular is really fun, and I feel sorry for the people I know from other countries that are very good people and just can not seem to understand the strange laws and all the evil people that are taking advantage of them in the USA.
I really wanted to do, is to update my web site with all of what I saw at the green cities expo on sunday, I should have driven my car there, public transit just dose not work for me.

potato wine

I found a store called the oak barrel
I got some EC-1118, a co2 lock, yeast nutrient, 2 one gallon glass containers, a hydromiter, and some other things I cant remember right now.
I need to get some patatos, I think I have the sugar, I need 2 lemons, and some other thing.
must go now.

broken microscope

I was bringing my microscope to work today to show someone.
it fell and broke.
I feel so bad, I want to go home, but I do not think I could take the drive home, a BMW ran a stop sign on my way here, I do not want to be around cars anymore. so many people seems to push the edge of what they can get away with, I am sick of it, I cant take anymore pushing before I just give up.
then again I had a bad morning.

wine and rum

I found out that if you put rum into wine, you can't taste the rum, who would have thought?

living room redecorateing

OK, I got new wicker furniture for my living room, my favorite new thing is a wicker basket that I filled with food and supplies to cook it. I use it as a side table.
I also put torches all around my apartment, some are using pure unsented lamp oil, and some are using olive oil, they don't smell much.
I put my 15" flat pannel TV on top of my refrigirator, so I can watch TV while making dinner, the problem is that digital TV is 2 seconds behind regular TV, so if I leave 2 TVs on I get this messed up time thing between one room to the next, not to mention the sound being off.
I replaced the paper lamp shades with red nylon lamp shades that look like paper, only in bright red.
I will get my new night vision toy on monday, and 2 days later, dell says they will ship the laptop I ordered. the night vision toy is going into the wicker basket with everything else.
the laptop is going on the kitchen table untill I get a desk, either in the living room or my second bedroom.
I think it looks good, but I will someone to verify that tonight at 6pm.
any ideas anyone?

electronics experiament

so I was thinking about gravity, and if it has a frequency
I should be able to get the frequancy, but that would do no good if it is random phase, so I am going to get a g-force sensor, and connect the output to phase shift on my frequency generator. then all I must do is find a transducer that can affect gravity, I have a few designs that I think will work. I want to try a magnetic coil in the shape of a quork or nutron, the nutron shape has got me good results in the past.
I was thinking the adxl321 for the G sensor and ltc6905 and ltc6900 for the signal generator, I know it is square wave, but I will most likely be driving a mosfet with it.
any ideas anyone?

another boring day at work

another boring day at work
I have nothing else to say

gluing a radiator

the solid aliminum radiator in my car started leaking, a bolt wore its way through the tank.
so, I decided to glue it. I got the idea from one of the advertisments from the company that made it, they said that they welded the radiators, not glue them like other companys.
so I took the radiator out of the car, washed and dryed it, sanded the area with sand paper, then cleaned the grease off with alchohol, glued it, waited 1 and half days, then put it back in the car, it leaked less.
now I will try again, I will cut the leack open, so some of the glue can bond to the inside, and not just on the surface, then I will put it in front of a heat lamp for a heat lamp for a long time.
I hope it works, I am tired of taking the radiator out of the car.

what a start

my old blog is annoying so this is my new one
someone killed my computer by typing in a web address that did bad things
I think my computer works ok now.

I will repost my old blogs
