Finally, something for which I'm qualified to comment.

My 2 favorite salmon recipes:

PAN FRIED SALMON
smash and chop up garlic
sautee in pan with olive oil
salt and pepper salmon
put salmon in pan
fry about one minute
flip salmon fry another minute
add 1/2 cup white wine and 1 tbsp butter, cover pan
steam salmon for another 3 minutes (maybe longer depending on thickness)

OVEN BAKED SALMON
preheat oven to 250F
in food processor chop up one slice bread and 1/2 cup pine nuts
place salmon in baking dish with olive oil, turn salmon, salt and pepper
press bread crumbs on top of salmon
cook salmon for 20-25 minutes
(put some more oil + a pat of butter in bottom of baking dish with a smashed garlic clove, and/or bit of lemon juice, salt and pepper so you get a sauce for your mashed potatoes)

BAKED TROUT
preheat oven to 350F
buy cleaned whole trout
cut off head
place trout on foil large enough to wrap trout
open trout, put in smashed garlic clove, butter, salt & pepper (I like sage, but you could use dill or chives), and a piece of peeled lemon
add small amount of white wine (1 tbsp) or more butter/oil or lemon juice or combination of all
wrap up trout
cook for 15-20 minutes
watch out for bones

cool, finnaly a page worth printing

How dare you?! All my comments are worth their printed weight in GOLD.

childhood favorite:
can of campbell's mushroom soup
pound of halibut fillet

fish goes in pyrex baking pan with contents of soup can on top of it. bake at some temp above 300F and below 400F for at least 20 minutes.

Adam, try Tilapia (pronounced till-AH-pee-ah). It's the most sustainably caught fish, better for the environment. It's a hearty whitefish, good for frying or for fish soup/stews.

1 package smoked salmon, sliced or in a hunk, neufchatel cheese, wasa crackers.
I prefer the cheese spread over the cracker with some salmon on top, but you could spread the cheese on top of the salmon for variety.
