the mayan calendar ends in Dec. 2012
the mayan text sayes it is because a flood will wipe out most life on the planet.
what do you think
do a google search
tell me what you think the reason that the calender ends.

the calendar end was determined when they made it, thousands of years before the spanish arrived.

Right, but you suggest that they knew the end would be 2012. What I'm saying is maybe they divined that 2012 would be the year the last person with enough Mayan blood to be considered Mayan would die. All thanks to your friends the Spaniards.
