french fries
anyone know what is the best oil to use when making them
I was going to try cottenseed oil and canola oil.
I guess it is hard to use lard, but I want to try that as well.

For deep frying, use peanut oil. Unless you've got the old McDonald's recipe of 93% beef tallow to 7% cottonseed oil lying around.
