iran
I saw a sign today while going down the freeway, it said "no war with iran"
don't they know that war with iran will give the U.S. more control over the oil, this will give us more leverage on china. and it is not like iran will be less of a threat if we just let them continue on the path they are on.
I am for war, for reasons of world safety and the selfish concerns of the well being of my country.
I know it is sad, but most of them don't like the government they have either, and I thought that they said that they wanted us dead.

Lot of people here dislike our government as well. Does it make it right for someone to come on in and liberate us? I don't think it is so black and white. I would have to agree with cb, unless you are willing to go over there and do the job yourself, I wouldn't be asking anyone else to do it.

I see what our government is doing, I was just vocalizing it, I have no complaints about what is happening, any successful country would do what the USA is doing.
they have threatened our country, I am very patriotic, and this really annoys me.
sure I would go, but our military training forces people to do things that I am not physically capable of doing, but if I thought it would help things, I would do what i could.
of course I would not want people to come in to this country and liberate us, the second amendment of our constitution was added to make sure that we could liberate ourselves if needed, but we can vote for people if we really want to change things.
I am tired of all the "liberals" complaining about things, but never doing anything about it. start campaigning in the rest of the country if you want to really change things.
go tell them that you want enemies of our country to have power over us, and that we should do nothing until we will have a really hard fixing things.
the world is a harsh place, your idealism has a place in your city, maybe your state, but not in international relations with a country that wants you dead because of where you live.
I will point out that no one actually gave me a logical reason not to go to war.
and I think war is really black and white, and the reasons for it are often just as clear even if the news never tells you the reason, just because you are being feed waves of gray, does not mean that you have to believe it.
look at this from a historical perspective, and keep in mind the bad decisions that will cause a country to fall.

Here's a logical reason, you're a piece of shit idiot. What do you mean the country would fall? Sure they want to attack us, we attack them everyday. Where do you think you get all your nice cars and fancy clothes and cheap oil. You get it at the expense of third world countries that we exploit. Your argument doesn't make any sense, you seem to think that going to war will keep certain groups from taking over the us. Iraq had no plans to take over the us, neither does Iran. Our war with them is to keep our oil cheap and anyone who thinks differently is the "idealist." You're just another typical brainwashed dupe who has bought into all the fear mongering. and it is clear by your response that you have no idea what I wrote, of course the iraq and iran people would never want to invade this country, but they do want to kill us, and they have good reason, we are killing them and it annoys them.

all I was saying is that this country is safer if we control the oil, so that other countries will not try to mess with us, physically or economically, because they know that we can cripple any country we want by taking the oil away.
I did not say it was the moral thing to do, I just said that it is the sort of action that will keep the USA safe.
I was responding to the moral reasons I see every day not to go to war, I thought everyone should know the reasons that it has happened and will happen again.
I just wanted to point out that the reasons are not all about cheep oil, there is lots more to it.

I don't fear anything but stupidity and ignorance, and if that means that I fear myself, then so be it, but to see people that do not know history and tactics yell that something is bad... and they never give reasons other than idealized morals. it is not like I think it is a good idea either, but it is better than waiting till they have a nuclear weapon and have real power in the world, just look at what the leaders of Iran are saying, are you saying that you do not think it will lead to what has been publicly announced by Iranian leaders?
or are you going to call me another name because your to stupid to respond logically?
